Celebrate Learning

Landon has been attending Glennwood Elementary this year. He is in Mrs. Shewan's class. The elementary school in CSD do ELL learning- and this fall his expedition was all about the community and what makes up a community. Tonight we went to the celebration of learning. One K class was a post office, one was a grocery store, and Landon's class was a bakery. The kids learned about al of the jobs at a bakery, "applied" for jobs, baked goods, and sold them to parents that evening. Landon's job was a 'stalker" - he resupplied the baked goods as they got low.
Hi friend Boyd was a cashier.

But he said he would not want to really work in a bakery - too much work :)
The kids actually got paid - and then had to decide what to do with the money - spend, save, donate - he split it up in thirds.  Landon really loved this hands on learning - and we love that he has learned so much about our new community.

Landon is really into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - and so when he wanted to be teh organge TMNT Michelangelo - we was like OK. Easy costume to find -

For the first time in we did not trick or treat in WP - we did it in our complex with kids who live there.

Landon had fun, it was a great way to meet people, and he came home with quite the loot.....

I would say he had a great Halloween -

It was a fun night - hope you got lots of treats too!

First Tooth Lost

Today Landon lost his first tooth- It's hard to believe that our little boy is growing up so fast. It was his bottom center left side tooth. When I got home he had to show it off to me....

He carved his pumpkin to match his lost tooth....

So cute - both Landon and the pumpkin.

We love you buddy - missing tooth and all.

Carnival Birthday Party w/Fin

Today we celebrated Landon's 6th birthday. We had a joint carnival party with his best bud Fin.

We decorated Glenlake pavilion to look like a big top - had popcorn, cotton candy, and various snacks for friends.

There were lots of games (thank you Keka) for kids to play, a photo both, tattoos. we were grateful that we had lots of friends and family join us for the event. Enjoy the following photos.......
